You will find quite a few questions regarding exactly what astral projection can be. You will find reports of individuals seeing distant regions instantly, or 'mystics' wandering over the geography on the lookout for something specifically. And it's really all of these far-fetched rumors which often obsure what astral projection actually is in addition to obscuring what amazing benefits it provides. In this article, I hopeto give you a few more details of what astral projection happens to be, ways to do this and also the amazing benefits it will provide.

In a nutshell, astral projection is often an off shoot of meditation and is a style of a trance. It can be as simple and normal and safe as sleeping.

I prefer to utilize the phrases 'physical reality' coupled with 'mental reality'. Physical reality is everything we experience in the world near us using each of our 5 senses, sight, taste, touch, smell and hearing. It's the normal reality in which most people spend most of our waking moments and continue along our everyday life.

Mental reality
is actually an over-all phrase for virtually any spot that you can project yourself to with your eyes closed and applying your thoughts. It might be anything from what you immediately witness once you close your eyes, to different varieties of introspection to projecting yourself to a specific spot. For purposes of astral projection, this kind of mental reality will be used to establish a personal 'astral sanctuary'.

Astral projection, or travel,
can be used for a few reasons, such as deep breathing, communing with Our god, getting to be closer to mother nature, among others. As stated previously, there isn't anything 'magical' concerning this, however rather you happen to be re-focusing your mental power to attain added benefits within the actual environment.

To prepare for one's experience, you should be very well rested and have a clear mind. Select a secluded location where you won't be disrupted for about 15-30 minutes. Dress in comfy clothes. A lot of people prefer to work with external influences to help ease them into the appropriate mental state, like using incense or listeneing to music or binaural beats. Furthermore many believe that it is helpful to use a comfy pillow to facilitate the process.

Another major factor will be setting up your astral temple. This is your home foundation. It usually is anywhere you feel comfortable, from a type of temple to a place in nature. The important element is that you feel safe in this location. You need to create in your mind details of this setting. While you shut your eyes, breathing in deeply and naturally, view all the details of your respective temple. Throughout the process, maintain your eyes shut and continue deep breathing. Now open your 'mental eyes' and look about your temple. If you determine these details, it will be easier in the future to return to the temple.

When you are ready to finish your journey, mentally sit back down in the heart of your temple and picture yourself waking up slowly and gradually and becoming more conscious of your current physical environment.

When you become more comfortable with this process and are able to make future journeys, you open yourself up to numerous opportunities and advantages. Whenever you project, you can imagine yourself increasing your own temple, adding lovely gardens, as well as communing with nature. Make use of this time to break free from the stresses of the physical world, lessen the stresses you are feeling and achieve a greater feeling of stability in your life. Then when you make the mental journey in the future, it will become a more natural way (a trigger if you will) to accomplish peacein your life.

Interesting. I used to do quite a bit of 'travel' during dream states when I was younger, sometimes 'visiting' the same place more than once. Loved those dreams, along with 'flying' dreams.

Now I 'just' meditate and am content with the quality of the deepening of my experience into the Divine Consciousness. See my hub: Silence: a meditation experience for one of my recounts.

Nice hub info.
